Paine's Creek

Each summer I have a Magical  senior session where the wind, the subject and the sunset perfectly align.

When my senior's mom contacted me about doing a senior session, I was very pleased. I knew the family through Hockey when her older brother and my son played on the same team.

After reading her Senior questionnaire, my senior said she wanted to be on the beach but not sure which one. I chose a beach that was half way in-between where we both lived.  It would be low tide on the day of the session and the sunsets there can be amazing!

We started on a quaint bridge that led into the dunes.  Her choice to wear a gorgeous, long flowing, yellow  gingham sundress was a perfect match for the green and yellow grasses and the bright blue sky.

The sun became filtered by some soft cloud cover. That type of light allowed me to show off her baby blue eyes.

As the session moved to the shoreline's jetty, my senior became more comfortable in front of the camera! She was a good sport when I saw a weathered pylon and asked if she would go into the dunes to take some photos there.  These photos ended up being some of my favorites of the session.

She wanted to include her prized truck in the session, so she changed into a another dress that created a different vibe for the rest of the night.

After a few fabulous shots on the truck, we went back onto the beach.  The sunset  magically changed from yellows, to pinks, to fiery oranges .

I didn't want to leave and my senior was my muse to photograph with the ever changing sunset.

Thank you B! (and the Cape Cod sunsets) for a Magical night!
