What will your session look like?

I  have so much fun meeting each new senior and creating unique sessions and  portraits that they will always treasure.

Here is a peek into a session from summer of 2020!

I met up with a couple of girlfriends who wanted to do their photo session together!  Maddie and Marie Claire have been best friends for years.  In order to make their session special, we decided to meet an hour and a half before sunset at the beach during low tide!  It was a gorgeous night.  The girls trusted me to pose them and take some candids as well.  Marie Claire’s little sister came for a visit so of course I had to get a few shots of her as well.

I like to move around with my Seniors. After they are more comfortable in front of the camera, I take a combination of head shots and full body shots.   I only take a few shots at a time.  I want to make sure that the client is relaxed so I get that genuine smile.

Throughout the the session the sun was coming in and out.  I was able to capture many different types of moods.   We used the tide pools for reflections, the sea grass for some contrast and finally the massive rock that served as a creative backdrop!

I usually allow one or two change of outfits.  Every girl has a hard time choosing only one!  While you are changing, I go through some of the pictures and pick a few to show you.  Now you see what I am seeing and  we both get excited for the rest of the session.

I love natural light as the sun sets into Golden Hour. I use off camera flash to fill in where the sun may leave shadows or to create a back lit affect to your portraits.

To mark the end of this fabulous session, we lit some sparklers!  It took some effort, but it was worth it!  I had a fabulous time taking their portraits and they said it was so easy and so much fun!

After the session, I usually can’t wait to get home to look through all the images. I choose a few images to edit right away!  Usually my favorites of the night!  I post them on my social media for you to get a sneak peek!  I love black and white photos, so I usually put a few of my favorites into your gallery. The rest of your private gallery will be put up for you to see in 7-10 days.
