Sportrait Baseball Session with Tyler

Tyler's session began with a bit of nostalgia ! We went back to his old elementary school and hit the ball field! I love the juxtaposition of the big kid on the little field. Tyler plays second base and outfield. I decided to stay on the infield and focus on getting some throwing and sliding. We then went to home plate to get some amazing shots of his swing! I threw in a couple of artsy non action shots to try to capture his focus and of course his baby blue eyes.

After the action shots on the filed, and Tyler feeling more comfortable in front of the camera, we took some portraits with backdrops. Here I wanted to capture some of the more creative components of baseball. I also utilized my lights to create different moods for the photographs. Creating different focal points was also put into play!

Last, but not least we headed back outside to utilize a smoke bomb! Tyler was ready for the limited time (only 90 seconds) and was up for the challenge! Mom became equipment manager throwing him a quick change during the shots! I think he hit a home run!

Thank you Tyler and mom for a great session! We all walked off feeling like we accomplished a terrific session! Thanks for giving me my baseball fix!
